My real fear is that LRT planning has been reduced to social engineering. We all know that there is a vocal element that wants to turn this into a debate about TOD's, and punishing those that don't live in them, having neighbourhoods on a 'human scale', and being responsible to 'human truth' (whatever that means). I just want to talk about meat and potato kind of issues, particularly about existing service to the west end and west LRT development. Will I be welcome to talk about these things, or will it require an accompanying social agenda? I'm not trying to be mean or condescending. If you say you're open to all opinions, I'm there.
